The Doobie Brothers are an American rock band formed in San Jose, California, in 1970. The band has had two distinct phases: the early hard-driving rock era led by Tom Johnston and the softer R&B-influenced era led by Michael McDonald. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020. Their hits include "Listen to the Music," "Long Train Runnin'," "Black Water," and "What a Fool Believes."
