Chicago is an American rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1967, originally known as the Chicago Transit Authority. Distinguished by their signature brass section (trumpets, trombone, saxophone), Chicago blended rock with jazz and R&B. They are one of the best-selling music groups of all time, with chart success spanning from the late 1960s through the 1980s and beyond.
